Console Design MkII
With the modern gaming on retro controls epiphany still searing in my mind I set about designing a second version of the layout. I tried to consider the needs of the most complex game I was playing at the time, control-wise. Guild Wars 2 became the template for number of and positing of additional controls.
Here is the end result. The console surface is now 1200mm x 450mm and the Eye of Judgment integration has been discarded. I have decided that I can make a separate board for EoJ later on.

“The Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres was founded in 1738 at the Château de Vincennes by local craftsman from a nearby factory at Chantilly.” Granted a license by Louis XV, the firm survived until the French Revolution made it “property of the state.” It flourished again under new management, “shed its dependence on the aristocracy and, during the reign of Napoleon III, adapted to the needs of the nation’s growing bourgeoisie.” Again “overhauled in 1891, Sèvres underwent a remarkable rejuvenation at the turn of the 20th Century.” Among modern designers to present work from Sèvres was Henri Rapin.
